Govt Bans 47 Chinese apps

On 27 July, the Indian government banned 47 more Chinese Apps. Earlier On 29th June, 59 Chinses Apps were banned in India including the popular apps Tik Tok, Shareit, UC Browser, Helo, and more.

The recent ban includes most of the applications are the clones of the parent company such as TikTok Lite, Shareit lite, Helo lite, and more. The Indian government has also made a statement earlier saying “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order.”

The Chinese company had some clones and other variants of the app. Due to the security concern, the Indian govt has banned these 47 more applications. While the complete list of the banned applications is not yet published.

There are reports suggesting that 275 more Chinese could be banned in India. In this, it also includes the most popular game PUBG Mobile. The step will be taken for security concerns. While the official listing of the applications that will be banned is not yet out.

Further, most of the Chinese apps have been flagged over the data and security concerns. The government is currently working and investigating the applications.
